Job Description – Snowflake Developer
Role: Snowflake DeveloperExperience: 8-12 YearsLocation: Chennai
Job Summary :We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Developer with strong expertise in cloud data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, data pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Key Responsibilities :Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake and integration tools.Create and manage Snowflake objects including databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, tasks, streams, and stored procedures.Implement data modeling techniques including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.Optimize query performance, warehouse sizing, clustering, and cost management.Develop data ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured data.Work with cloud storage services such as Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake, or Google Cloud Storage.Implement data security, data governance, masking, and role-based access controls.Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and data engineers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support activities.
Required Skills :8+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Warehousing.4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills.Experience with Snowflake Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero Copy Cloning, and Snowpipe.Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, DBT, or Azure Data Factory.Experience with Python or Shell scripting.Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms.Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.Experience with CI/CD and version control tools like Git.
Preferred Skills :SnowPro Certification.Experience with DBT.Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks.
