The opportunity
We are looking for a Manager, Data Analytics and AI to join our growing Technology & Data team in Sydney. You will work with clients on complex, high-impact matters, using data, analytics and AI to turn challenging commercial and operational problems into practical outcomes.
No two engagements will look the same. You will have the opportunity to shape solutions from the outset, work across a broad mix of industries and problems, and help build a growing capability within KordaMentha. We are technology agnostic, so you will have the freedom to deepen your expertise in the tools and areas that interest you most, while applying the right technology to each client challenge.
In this role you will:
Lead data, analytics and AI engagements from problem definition and solution design through to delivery.
Translate ambiguous business challenges into practical, data-driven solutions that balance value, feasibility and risk.
Work across the data lifecycle, including data management, analytics, visualisation and applied AI, to generate insight and support better decisions.
Advise clients on data governance, architecture and operating models to create robust, scalable and fit-for-purpose solutions.
Build trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders, communicating complex concepts in clear, commercial terms.
Create high-quality client deliverables, including requirements, process maps, dashboards, operating model inputs and implementation roadmaps.
Contribute to the growth of the practice by developing methodologies, sharing knowledge and coaching junior team members.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a commercially minded data and analytics professional who enjoys turning complex problems into practical solutions. You will be comfortable operating independently, leading client work and contributing to a newly established team with energy, curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
You will bring:
At least five years of experience in data, analytics, product, business analysis or consulting, ideally within a professional services environment.
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering data, analytics or AI solutions.
Broad capability across data modelling, analytics, business intelligence and applied AI or machine learning.
Strong requirements analysis skills, including stakeholder interviews, workshop facilitation, process mapping and backlog refinement.
The ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, commercial advice for business and technical audiences.
Working knowledge of data governance, data architecture, data quality, lineage, ownership and the responsible use of AI.
Intermediate to advanced capability in tools such as SQL, Python and Power BI, with a technology-agnostic mindset and a willingness to keep learning.
A relevant tertiary qualification in data, computer science, information systems, engineering, commerce or a related field. Experience with DCAM or an equivalent data management and governance framework will be well regarded.
