About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Slack is the system of engagement for the Agentic Enterprise, where employees, AI agents and enterprise data meet. We are seeking a forward-thinking, consultative Sales Leader to drive our AI and workplace collaboration investments into enterprise organizations.
In this role, you will lead high-impact strategic discussions with C-level executives (CFOs, CROs, CIOs, CTOs) to reshape how modern go-to-market (GTM) teams work. Rather than selling point solutions or generic generative AI, you will guide enterprise leaders on how to consolidate disjointed sales tech stacks and anchor autonomous, agentic AI directly where their employees live and collaborate every day.
You will lead a highly visible, motivated sales team to achieve individual, team and organisational quotas, and contribute to the Slack and corporate sales strategy. Our Ohana culture is key to our success, so we're looking for a leader with energy, passion and the ability to inspire a dynamic team.
You will formulate and implement a strategy to increase business growth. This role works in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Pre-sales, Customer Success, Partner Alliances, Services & HR, therefore cross-company engagement and orchestration is crucial.
Your Impact:
The team you lead here at Salesforce will directly shape the growth of our overall organization and pioneer the future of work across Germany/Austria. In this role, you will be masterful in client engagement—acting as a trusted peer to executive buyers—while transforming how enterprise customers operate in an AI-driven environment. As a 1st line Sales Leader you will,
Build and grow a diverse, high-performing team: recruit, train, retain and develop the next generation of Slack and Salesforce talent
Create Industry Specific Pipeline Programs to drive Pipeline and Revenue
Execute the go-to-market strategy to increase Slack's relevance and fuel its expansion in Germany/Austria
Lead strategic, eye-to-eye conversations with C-level stakeholders (CTOs, CIOs, CFOs, CROs) to position Slack solutions directly against core business outcomes—framing AI investments around operational efficiency, revenue velocity, and tech-stack rationalization
Systematically scale this consultative, value-led narrative across the sales organization, upskilling team members to independently navigate enterprise AI dialogues and accelerate deal cycles
Collaborate with Solution Engineering, Customer Success and partner closely with Salesforce Core Account Executives and ecosystem partners to uncover cross-sell opportunities, unlock complex enterprise accounts, and expand deal size
Lead weekly forecast meetings and report accurately on activity and forecast to the Sales Leadership team
Foster an inclusive, winning team spirit
Key Requirements:
Enterprise AI & Agentic Workflow Transformation: Strong technical fluency in data and AI (LLMs, agents, RAG, MCP, APIs and integration with existing business systems) and proven track record of operationalizing generative and agentic AI directly into enterprise workflows — scaling solutions seamlessly from early pilot stages to broad production deployment across business systems
C-Suite Commercial Fluency & Value Translation: Mastery in bridging the technical-financial divide with C-level executives (CFOs, CROs, CIOs, CTOs), challenging legacy point-solution strategies through consultative discovery, TCO rationalization, risk mitigation, and clear business-case modeling
Sales Coaching & Playbook Development: Demonstrate ability to deconstruct intuitive executive deal craft into repeatable playbooks, frameworks, and deal inspection routines—upskilling teams through continuous role-play and enablement to sell measurable business outcomes over feature demos
AI Go-To-Market & Revenue Scaling: Proven track record of building an AI go-to-market motion in a large enterprise software or cloud organization, from strategy to measurable pipeline and revenue
Track record of orchestrating partner ecosystems and running joint go-to-market programs
Excellent interpersonal skills; capable of inspiring and building trusted relationships both internally and externally
Proven relationships with key CXOs across various Vertical Industries
Excellent presentation and executive engagement skills
A self-starter that can thrive in a fast paced environment
Fluent in German and English; willingness to travel when required
