Tax CPA - Wealth Management & Advisory

We are seeking a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join an accounting and advisory firm serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, entrepreneurs, trusts, and estates. This role combines tax compliance with strategic advisory services, providing opportunities to help clients optimize tax positions, plan for wealth transfers, and preserve long-term financial assets.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
Develop tax projections and estimated payment plans to help clients manage tax liabilities and improve tax efficiency.
Analyze financial statements and client records to identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend appropriate strategies.
Research tax legislation, regulatory updates, and complex tax issues to provide accurate, up-to-date guidance.
Manage tax compliance and planning for trusts, estates, fiduciary accounts, and related entities.
Advise clients on retirement planning, business transitions, estate transfers, and wealth preservation.
Explain tax results and planning recommendations in clear, practical terms.
Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and ongoing advisory support.
Review tax returns, workpapers, supporting schedules, and financial records for accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with senior professionals on complex tax engagements and tailored client solutions.
Manage multiple client accounts, filing requirements, and deadlines throughout the tax year.
Identify opportunities to enhance client service and develop long-term advisory relationships.
Requirements
Active CPA license required.
1–3+ years of experience in public accounting, tax services, or a related advisory role.
Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
Knowledge of partnership, trust, estate, and fiduciary taxation strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
Interest in tax strategy, estate planning, and wealth management.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial information.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical tax matters to clients.
Ability to build client trust, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
Flexibility to work extended hours during tax season.
Ability to work on-site in Oradell, New Jersey.
