Seasonal Driver - Public Transportation

Job Summary:
We are looking for SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS with a stable work record and strong work ethic to add to our team! Seasonal Drivers will work during the summer break, weekends, holidays, and/or special events. Responsibilities include transporting the public, following a set schedule, and maintaining vehicle reports.
This position operates a bus for the purpose of carrying passengers on the fixed route service and/or Demand Response Service in a safe manner and in accordance with local, county, state, and federal laws as well as company policies. This is a mid-level position that requires strong independent judgment in operating the bus for the safety of the passengers and the public.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to transport the public safely, following a set schedule, and maintain vehicle reports.
Must have above average communication and people skills.
Must be able to work independently and meet the physical requirements of the job to include sitting for extended periods of time, lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs., move up and down stairs easily, reach overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Must be able to work under pressure and adapt to a variety of people and fellow employees.
Must have a valid MS CDL Class B License with a passenger endorsement OR have the ability to obtain a CDL.
Requires a clean driving record.
Must pass the company Drug and Alcohol screening test and abide by all drug free workplace policies and FTA/DOT guidelines.
Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, to include a vision test.
Must be capable of performing all tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
Education:
Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
