Role Description The Development Manager role at SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhanbad. This role involves recruiting, training, and mentoring a team of insurance advisors, supporting them in achieving sales targets and delivering high-quality customer service. The Development Manager is responsible for planning and executing business development activities, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring adherence to company processes and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include conducting field visits, organizing customer meetings, coordinating with branch and regional teams, and maintaining accurate sales and activity reports. The role also requires promoting SBI Life’s products, strengthening customer relationships, and contributing to the overall growth of the Dhanbad business unit.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, with the ability to drive insurance product penetration and meet or exceed targets.Experience in team management, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance monitoring of advisors or sales personnel.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust-based relationships with customers, advisors, and internal stakeholders.Good planning, organizing, and reporting skills, including proficiency in basic computer applications and digital tools.Solid understanding of insurance or financial services (life insurance experience preferred), and familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards.Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification in management, finance, or marketing is an added advantage.Proven ability to work on-site in a field-oriented role, with high levels of integrity, customer orientation, and accountability.Prior experience in Dhanbad or similar markets, and knowledge of local language and market dynamics, will be beneficial.
