Compliance Technician

The Role
As a Compliance Technician, you'll be out on the road visiting customer sites across the region. Your work will include:
Testing and surveying fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, passive protection, and handheld fire equipment
Ensuring all systems meet NZ Standards and the Building Act
Delivering safe, accurate, and professional compliance services
This is a full-time, permanent role (40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri) and unlike plenty of jobs these days, this one cannot be done by AI, so your skills are always in demand.
We’re looking for an experienced Tester/Surveyor who knows their way around NZ Standards and compliance requirements.
What we are looking for

Strong communication skills
A motivated attitude and desire to learn
Integrity, initiative, and reliable work ethic
A clean NZ driver’s license
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Fire & Building Compliance in NZ (preferred)
Working knowledge of NZ Standards and the Building Act
Hold NZQA Systems Technology Level 3 (or willingness to complete it)
