Chief Strategy Officer

Role Description The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is a full-time, remote executive role responsible for defining, communicating, and overseeing the organization’s long-term strategic direction. The CSO will lead strategic planning cycles, evaluate market trends, and translate insights into actionable business initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating cross-functional strategic projects, guiding financial and operational analyses, and partnering with other executives to align strategy with organizational goals. The CSO will oversee business planning processes, support capital allocation decisions, and ensure that key performance indicators reflect strategic priorities. This role also involves presenting strategic recommendations to the executive team and board-level stakeholders, and monitoring execution to ensure measurable outcomes.QualificationsStrong strategic and business planning skills, including experience leading organizational strategy development and implementation.Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, market trends, and performance metrics to inform executive decisions.Solid understanding of finance, including budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and the strategic impact of financial decisions.Proven expertise in strategic planning, portfolio management, and scenario analysis in dynamic or evolving markets.Executive management experience, including leading cross-functional teams, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving organizational change.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.Track record of successful leadership in a senior strategy, corporate development, or management consulting role.Relevant advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Finance, Economics, or related field) is highly beneficial.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
