The Payment Methods Platform (PMP) team at Uber is part of the Core Payments organisation and is responsible for managing global payment methods across all regions and lines of business. The primary focus is on payment methods processing, including collections, disbursements, and user-specific payment experiences. The team aims to improve key metrics such as checkout conversions, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance, ensuring seamless and cost-effective payment solutions for Uber's global operations. Responsibilities:
Card Payments: Managed by Kiran DVS, focusing on card optimisation and integrations.
Alternate Payment Methods (APM): Led by Avninder Singh, concentrating on various local and global non-card payment methods.
Disbursements: Managed by Shivanshu Dixit, handling earner payouts and associated experiences.
Payments Onboarding Foundations: Led by Soham Sardar, focusing on the foundational backend for payment method onboarding and user experience.
