Senior SDET

We are looking for a senior SDET with a strong foundation in automation testing and manual testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Unacademy's web and mobile applications. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and designers to deliver seamless user experiences at scale.
Responsibilities:
Lead automation-powered QA transformation for web, mobile, and APIs.
Architect and scale cutting-edge automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) for regression, sanity, and E2E pipelines.
Drive API-first automation; design, develop, and execute with Postman/REST Assured (automation 1st priority).
Craft and own strategic test plans, cases, and scenarios tied to product specs.
Engineer robust APIs per enterprise design principles and best practices.
Optimize QA processes, boost test coverage, and accelerate releases via CI/CD.
Mentor junior testers on automation excellence and best practices.
Collaborate cross-functionally with devs for swift defect resolution.
Apply precision manual testing for functional/UI/usability edge cases.
Requirements:
Senior SDET (3-6 years in automation-heavy testing).
Expertise in automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress (Java/Python scripting).
API and performance automation: Postman, REST clients, load/stress (JMeter/K6).
Cloud and CI/CD mastery: AWS/Azure/GCP pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
Full-spectrum testing: Web/mobile (manual + automated), JIRA bug tracking.
Leadership shine: Mentoring, analytical problem-solving, stellar communication.
Good to Have:
Experience testing EdTech, SaaS, or consumer-facing applications.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
Basic understanding of performance or security testing.
