NOC Engineer

A Fortune 200 enterprise is building a 45-engineer Network Operations Centre as part of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India and has partnered with Flexiple to hire NOC engineers who will keep its global network and infrastructure running around the clock. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.
Role Overview
As a NOC Engineer, you will monitor network, server, and application health in real time, triage incidents as they surface, and keep outages from reaching the business.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and Incident Response
Monitor network, server, and application alerts across monitoring platforms around the clock
Triage incidents, diagnose root cause where possible, and escalate to L2/L3 teams per runbook
Drive incidents to resolution within SLA, keeping stakeholders updated throughout
Shift Operations and Documentation
Handle shift handovers with clear, accurate logs of open issues and actions taken
Maintain and improve runbooks, alert thresholds, and standard operating procedures
Raise recurring issues to engineering teams with supporting data for permanent fixes
Ideal Candidate Profile
2 to 5 years in NOC, network monitoring, or IT infrastructure support
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog
Comfort working rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Clear written and spoken English and a reliable remote-work setup
Preferred Qualifications
CCNA or an equivalent networking certification
Exposure to ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management
Experience supporting a large, multi-site enterprise network
