Application Developer

As an Application Developer, a typical day involves designing, constructing, and configuring applications that align with specific business processes and application needs. This role requires a thoughtful approach to understanding requirements and translating them into functional solutions. The workday often includes collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that applications are tailored effectively to support organisational goals, while continuously refining and optimising application performance and usability.
Responsibilities:
Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute to providing solutions to work-related problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse application requirements.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues to maintain optimal performance.
Document application designs and configurations to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing best practices.
Requirements:
Proficiency in IBM WebSphere DataPower.
Experience in designing and implementing secure and scalable application solutions using IBM WebSphere DataPower.
Strong understanding of application integration and middleware technologies.
Ability to configure and manage XML and web services within the IBM WebSphere DataPower environment.
Familiarity with troubleshooting and performance tuning of DataPower appliances.
Knowledge of security protocols and standards relevant to application development and deployment.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in IBM WebSphere DataPower.
A 15-year full-time education is required.
