Senior Cloud Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the migration and scaling of our AI voice agent platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and HIPAA-compliant infrastructure while ensuring zero downtime for our healthcare customers. This is a core technical leadership role with direct impact on our platform's success.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute a migration strategy from EC2 to EKS for AI voice agents.
Implement auto-scaling solutions, maintaining sub-400ms response latency.
Establish comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using Datadog/CloudWatch.
Build CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment across staging and production environments.
Implement load balancing, failover mechanisms, and eliminate single points of failure.
Design and deploy API authentication systems (OAuth2 JWT).
Ensure HIPAA compliance for data storage and transmission.
Implement session reliability and state management for real-time voice agents.
Create backup and disaster recovery systems for agent configurations.
Mentor and collaborate with the platform engineering team.
Own the infrastructure roadmap and scalability strategy.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2 RDS, Load Balancers, etc. ).
Proven experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
Strong background in API security, authentication, and encryption.
Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar).
Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Startup experience with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT experience.
Experience with real-time communication systems (WebRTC).
Experience with AI/ML infrastructure and agent systems.
Previous experience scaling platforms from startup to enterprise.
