Advanced Engineer Software - UI Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and Experienced UI Engineer to join our Web Engineering team. This role will focus on building scalable, high-performance web applications that power our grocery retail platform. You will be responsible for designing and developing modern front-end solutions, ensuring seamless user experiences, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features for millions of customers.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
Implement state management solutions with Redux and integrate middleware such as Redux-Saga or Thunk.
Build and optimise AJAX-based data fetching and API integrations.
Write and maintain unit/integration tests using frameworks like React Testing Library, Jest, or similar
Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Backend teams to deliver scalable and user-centric solutions.
Ensure high availability, performance, resiliency, and modularity of Web services and applications.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment of front-end applications.
Requirements:
8-12 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end development using ReactJs
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
Proven experience leading large-scale web applications in high-traffic consumer environments.
Deep understanding of React, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and modern front-end architecture.
Experience with UI testing frameworks (React Testing Library, Jest, etc. ).
Strong knowledge of Redux, AJAX, and middleware (Redux-Saga, Thunk)
Strong technical acumen with the ability to make architectural decisions and lead engineering teams.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
A problem-solver - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and you find ways to get things done.
Strong strategic skills.
Preferred:
Experience in grocery, retail, or consumer-facing digital platforms.
Familiarity with personalization, taxonomy, and product data enrichment.
Familiarity with GitHub CoPilot and other developer productivity tools and frameworks.
Hands-on development experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks (React) is preferred.
Mandatory Skills Required:
JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks ( Reactjs ).
BFF architecture, distributed systems design and microservices integration.
Redux, AJAX, and middleware (Redux-Saga, Thunk).
Additional Skills: Cloud Platform (Azure / GCP / AWS).
