Staff Engineer - ML

Responsibilities:
Hands-on code-writing skills; conducts code reviews and works continuously on code quality improvements.
Performs advanced development, support and implementation of complex systems using specialised domain knowledge and highly developed business expertise.
Partners with architects on low-level design.
Leads large projects and programs with limited or no oversight.
Evaluates business and software industry trends and suggests improvements to processes, products and services.
Proposes and champions new ideas, technologies, or process improvements that can enhance the development process and product quality.
Sets standards to deliver high-quality products and services; Sets high standards for self and others.
Requirements:
9-12 years of experience in Data Engineering / Machine Learning.
3-4 years of experience in managing Delivery of Machine Learning projects.
Specialised knowledge in programming, and knowledge and/or experience in Python programming skills.
Specialised knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile).
Specialised knowledge in distributed computing frameworks/databases/machine learning libraries, algorithms and metrics for forecasting, recommendations and optimisations.

Mandatory Skills Required:
Distributed Computing frameworks such as Spark, Hive, MapReduce.
Strong Python programming skills.
Machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, Skikit-learn, Scipy, NLTK.
Distributed computing databases such as CosmosDB, MongoDB, Cassandra.
Machine Learning algorithms and metrics for forecasting, recommendations, and optimisations.
