What will I be doing?
As a Pastry Cook, you will support the pastry team by working closely with the Pastry Chef and senior chefs to ensure the production of high-quality desserts and baked goods. You will also assist with the daily preparation and organization of the pastry section, helping to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Support the pastry chef in the preparation and production of desserts, pastries, and bakery products.
Follow recipes and instructions provided by senior chefs to ensure consistency and quality.
Prepare ingredients, basic pastry components, and mise en place for daily service.
Maintain a clean and well-organized pastry section at all times.
Ensure all food preparation areas comply with food hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
Assist with the finishing and presentation of desserts during service.
Support stock rotation and the correct storage of ingredients.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate:
A culinary or pastry qualification.
Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
