AI / ML Developer

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Developer with a strong background in designing, developing, and deploying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions into existing enterprise applications. This is not a research-only role; we need someone who has successfully integrated AI capabilities into production systems and understands how AI can solve real business problems. Candidates with experience in the Banking, Financial Services, Lending, or FinTech domain will be highly preferred. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, and Software Engineering, with hands-on experience building AI-powered features, workflow automation, intelligent decision-making systems, and predictive models.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions for enterprise applications.
Integrate AI capabilities into existing banking or financial software products.
Build intelligent business workflows using AI and automation.
Develop ML models for prediction, classification, recommendation, anomaly detection, and decision support.
Convert business problems into AI-driven solutions using appropriate algorithms.
Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to understand business requirements.
Build and optimise end-to-end ML pipelines from data collection to model deployment.
Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and LLM-based solutions where applicable.
Develop AI agents and workflow automation using modern AI frameworks.
Build APIs for integrating AI services into existing applications.
Monitor, evaluate, retrain, and optimise machine learning models in production.
Ensure model performance, scalability, explainability, and security.
Write clean, reusable, and production-quality code following engineering best practices.
Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD and MLOps deployment.
Stay updated with the latest AI, ML, and Generative AI advancements.
Requirements:
Technical Skills: Programming, Python (Advanced), SQL, REST APIs, Object-Oriented Programming.
Machine Learning: Strong hands-on experience in: Supervised Learning, Unsupervised Learning, Classification, Regression, Clustering, Time Series Forecasting, Recommendation Systems, NLP, Deep Learning, Feature Engineering, Model Evaluation, Hyperparameter Tuning.
AI and Generative AI: Experience with: Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, Vector Databases, Embedding Models, AI Workflow Automation, Multi-Agent Systems (Preferred).
Frameworks: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, XGBoost, LightGBM, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain / LlamaIndex (Preferred).
Data Engineering: Pandas, NumPy, Data Cleaning, Data Transformation, ETL Pipelines.
Databases: PostgreSQL / MySQL, MongoDB (Preferred), Vector Databases (Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS).
Cloud and Deployment: Experience in one or more: Azure AI, AWS AI Services, Google Cloud AI, Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, MLOps, Model Monitoring.
Banking Domain Experience (Preferred): Candidates with implementation experience in Banking, Financial Services, NBFCs, or FinTech products will be preferred.
Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Loan Management Systems (LMS), Collections, Credit Risk, Assessment, Fraud Detection, Customer Risk Scoring, KYC Automation, AML Monitoring, Document Intelligence, OCR-based Data Extraction, Banking Workflow, Automation, Lending Decision Engines, Credit Underwriting Automation.
Mathematics and Analytical Skills: The candidate should have a strong understanding of: Linear Algebra, Probability, Statistics, Calculus, Optimisation Techniques, Numerical Methods, Matrix Operations, Data Analysis, Statistical Inference.
Should be capable of selecting appropriate algorithms based on business requirements rather than relying solely on pre-built AI tools.
Required Experience:
Minimum 4 years of hands-on AI/ML development experience.
Proven experience implementing AI features in live production applications.
Experience integrating AI into existing enterprise software products.
Experience building complete ML pipelines from development to deployment.
Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets.
Experience deploying ML models into production environments.
Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable application development.
Experience with workflow automation and intelligent process automation.
Ability to optimise AI solutions for performance, accuracy, and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
AI/ML certifications from Microsoft, AWS, Google, or equivalent are an advantage.
Experience with Banking or Financial domain projects is highly preferred.
