Role Description This full-time, on-site First Line Manager role is based in Kozhikode and focuses on leading and developing a field team to achieve business objectives. The First Line Manager will oversee daily sales operations, including planning territory coverage, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring adherence to company processes and compliance standards. The role involves coaching and training team members, conducting joint field visits, and supporting them in effective product communication and relationship building with healthcare professionals and trade partners. The manager will analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to identify growth opportunities and implement action plans. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, timely reporting, and alignment with Mankind Pharma’s quality and customer-centric values are critical components of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
Strong people management and team leadership skills, with experience in mentoring, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Solid analytical skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and performance reports for informed decision-making.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in operations management, including territory planning, process adherence, and execution of sales strategies.
Experience in training and capability building for field teams, including product knowledge and selling skills.
Graduate degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management is an advantage.
Relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales or field management, preferably in branded generics or FMCG healthcare segments.
Knowledge of the Kozhikode market and surrounding region, with the ability to travel as required for field visits.
Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, regulatory compliance, and customer-centric service.
