Key Responsibilities & Competencies
1. End-to-End Pharmacy Operations
* Strong knowledge of end-to-end pharmacy operations across both OP (Outpatient) and IP (Inpatient) pharmacies.
* Understanding of pharmacy workflow, inventory, billing, dispensing, procurement, and operational controls.
2. Hospital & OP Pharmacy Operations
* Good understanding of hospital operating models and their impact on OP pharmacy business and performance.
* Ability to align pharmacy operations with overall hospital business objectives.
3. Pharmacy Technology & Emerging Trends
* Awareness of current and upcoming trends in pharmacy operations, including automation, digitalisation, technology upgrades, and process optimisation.
* Ability to identify and implement technology-led improvements.
4. Business & Sales Analytics
* Strong analytical understanding of Doctor Trends vs. Pharmacy Sales.
* Ability to analyse doctor-wise, specialty-wise, product-wise, and location-wise sales trends and derive actionable insights.
5. Doctor Profiling & Doctor Connect
* Understanding of Doctor Profiling and Doctor Connect processes.
* Ability to assess and manage doctors’ day-to-day involvement and interaction with pharmacy and hospital operations.
* Strong relationship management with consultants and key stakeholders.
6. Pharmacy Business Growth & Merchandising
* Strategic understanding of pharmacy business expansion and revenue growth.
* Knowledge of pharmacy merchandising, product placement, category management, cross-selling, upselling, and promotional strategies.
7. People Management & Performance Management
* Strong interpersonal and team-management skills.
* Understanding of employee appraisal methodologies, performance management, coaching, and development.
* Ability to build high-performing pharmacy teams.
8. C-Level Reporting
* Strong understanding of C-Level reporting formats and management dashboards.
* Ability to present operational, financial, business, and performance metrics to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
9. Pharma Industry Knowledge
* Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, drug molecules, therapeutic categories, and chronic vs. acute medicines will be an added advantage.
10. Consultant Negotiation & Stakeholder Management
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills, particularly in managing relationships and commercial discussions with consultants and key stakeholders.
11. TAT Management
* Understanding of Turnaround Time (TAT) mechanisms, monitoring, root-cause analysis, and improvement initiatives.
* Ability to drive operational efficiency through TAT optimisation.
12. Customer Experience – CSAT & NPS
* Knowledge of Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) methodologies.
* Experience in driving customer-experience initiatives and improvement plans.
13. MS Office & Presentation Skills
* Hands-on proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to prepare management reports, dashboards, presentations, and business reviews.
Experience Required
* Minimum 7–8 years of relevant experience in Pharmacy Operations / Hospital Operations / Healthcare or Pharmaceutical Industry.
* Experience in managing pharmacy operations, business performance, teams, and key hospital stakeholders will be preferred.
* Candidates should demonstrate a strong combination of operational expertise, business acumen, analytical ability, people management, and strategic thinking.
