A high-growth, VC-backed SaaS company is hiring its founding India team through Flexiple. Deals are increasingly won or lost on whether a prospect's technical evaluator believes the product will work in their environment, and right now the founders are personally doing that call. It does not scale past about here. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.
What the week contains
Technical discovery with prospects, which mostly means finding out what they actually have rather than what the RFP says. Building demonstrations against a customer's real constraints. Running proofs of concept and being straight about what did not work. Writing up integration requirements clearly enough that engineering can act on them without a second meeting.
The uncomfortable part
Telling a sales lead the deal will not work as scoped. That happens, and the people who last in this role are the ones who do it early rather than letting a proof of concept quietly fail three weeks later.
Looking for
4 to 8 years in solutions engineering, pre-sales engineering or a customer-facing technical role
Enough hands-on ability to build a working integration, not only describe one
APIs, authentication models and the usual enterprise objections around data residency
Composure in front of a sceptical technical audience
Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi NCR, Mumbai or Chennai, or remote within India, with some travel to customer sites. A screening call, a technical conversation, a live scenario, then time with the founding team.
