Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ruby on Rails Developer role based in West Delhi. The developer will build, maintain, and optimize web applications that support Healthy18’s e-commerce, warehousing, and supply chain operations. Daily work includes designing and implementing back-end services with Ruby on Rails, integrating front-end components, and working with databases, APIs, and third-party tools. The role involves writing clean, tested, and maintainable code, performing code reviews, debugging issues, and collaborating with product, operations, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The developer is expected to participate in continuous improvement efforts, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
Qualifications
Strong Ruby on Rails and Back-End Web Development skills, including API design and database integration.
Experience with Front-End Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks where applicable).
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and clean code practices.
Practical knowledge of Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture and its application in web frameworks.
Experience with Test Driven Development, unit testing, and integration testing tools.
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in e-commerce, logistics, or SaaS platforms is an advantage.
