Role Description The Junior GIS Executive will support the creation, management, and analysis of geospatial datasets related to solar plants and transmission infrastructure. This full-time, on-site role in Faridabad involves preparing maps and spatial reports for inspections, maintaining GIS databases, and assisting in integrating drone and field data into SyloCloudAI workflows. The role includes collaborating with project teams to visualize defects, asset layouts, and inspection routes, as well as updating spatial information to reflect ongoing diagnostics and audits. The Junior GIS Executive will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure that geospatial outputs are accurate, clear, and useful for operational and decision-making needs.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to interpret geospatial data, identify patterns, and support diagnostics and reporting.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present GIS outputs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Customer service and client-facing skills to understand requirements, respond to queries, and support delivery of GIS-based insights.
Sales and business support skills to contribute to proposals, demonstrations, and visual materials that highlight GIS capabilities.
Basic project management skills to organize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate data collection and mapping activities.
Proficiency with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS or equivalent) and familiarity with spatial data formats and map production.
Understanding of renewable energy or solar projects is an advantage, especially asset mapping and site layout visualization.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to work on-site in Faridabad, with attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn and adapt.
