Role Description The Product Engineering Intern will support the design, development, and improvement of e-commerce products and features that serve rural users. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in software development tasks, participating in product requirement discussions, and helping translate user needs into technical specifications. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional team members to analyze product performance, document workflows, and contribute to project planning and testing. This is an internship role and is fully remote, requiring proactive communication, regular progress updates, and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Product Engineering and basic Software Development to contribute to building and refining e-commerce solutions.
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret user data, evaluate product performance, and support data-informed decisions.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with team members, present ideas clearly, and document work accurately.
Candidates should possess foundational Project Management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate work within a remote team.
Interest in rural development, digital inclusion, or social impact initiatives is beneficial.
Familiarity with web or mobile technologies, version control tools, or agile methodologies is an advantage.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work independently in a remote environment is essential.
