💼 About the Role
We’re looking for a Python Backend and AI/LLM Engineering Intern to join us full-time for a 3-month paid internship. You will work on powerful backend systems, AI integrations, and scalable APIs for consumer applications. If you’re self-driven, hands-on, and excited about AI, this role is your entry into a fast-moving, product-focused startup team.
As an intern, you will assist in developing and maintaining backend systems, integrating AI models, and optimizing data structures and algorithms for real-time performance. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement backend solutions, assisting in the enhancement of AI-driven services, debugging, and optimizing code. You will also contribute to data preprocessing pipelines and support the deployment of machine learning models into production environments.
You’ll get to:
Design and build backend APIs using FastAPI or Django
Integrate LLM features, vector databases, and RAG pipelines
Deploy features to production using cloud platforms
Work on live applications powering real customer experiences
If you perform well, we’ll extend a full-time role immediately after the internship.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Build, deploy, and manage scalable Python backend systems
Develop and document RESTful APIs for AI-powered features
Integrate and work with LLMs and AI pipelines (RAG, embeddings, etc.)
Work with cloud infra (AWS, GCP, Azure) to host and manage services
Use vector databases and tools like Pinecone or FAISS for retrieval
Troubleshoot, optimize, and iterate on code — fast
Participate in sprint planning and fast product cycles using tools like Cursor
✅ Requirements and qualifications
Proficiency in Python and experience with backend development frameworks such as Flask or Django
Basic understanding of AI concepts, machine learning algorithms, and experience with libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, data preprocessing techniques, and database management
Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a growth mindset
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work seamlessly in multidisciplinary teams
Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud basics (deployment, hosting, scaling)and cloud services like AWS or Google Cloud and knowledge of version control systems such as Git
Hands-on experience with:
LLMs and AI integrations (e.g. OpenAI, HuggingFace)
Vector embeddings & semantic search
SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Strong debugging skills
Basics of DevOps and Cloud is a must
Experience deploying apps/web apps to production is a plus
Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
Pursuing or completing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Experience with:
RAG pipelines, FAISS, Pinecone, ChromaDB
Cloud DevOps or CI/CD flows
Code-gen tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, etc.)
Frontend knowledge or full-stack work
MLOps or model fine-tuning experience
