Role Description The Junior Design Engineer will support the design and development of screw and barrel products, working closely with senior engineers and production teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating 2D/3D drawings, assisting with product calculations and specifications, and preparing technical documentation. The role involves collaborating with manufacturing to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards, as well as contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Daskroi, requiring regular coordination with cross-functional teams on the shop floor and in the office.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and product design for manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for creating and modifying engineering drawings.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and material specifications.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, heat treatment, and quality inspection.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in calculations and documentation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with senior engineers, production staff, and quality teams.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Willingness to learn, adapt to on-site industrial conditions, and follow safety and quality standards.
