Role Description This Senior Engineer Electrical (Project Site – Oil and Gas) role is a contract, on-site position based in Duliajan. The role involves overseeing electrical engineering activities at the project site, including planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used in oil and gas operations. The individual will supervise site electrical works, coordinate with project managers, contractors, and safety teams, and ensure alignment with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include reviewing drawings and technical documents, monitoring site progress, resolving electrical issues, conducting inspections, and preparing reports on system performance and compliance. The role also requires proactive participation in safety practices, risk assessments, and adherence to company and client procedures.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering with practical knowledge of electricity principles and industrial power systems.
Hands-on experience with Electrical Testing and Electrical Maintenance in oil and gas or similar heavy industrial environments.
Proven capability in Site Supervision of electrical works, including coordination of technicians, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
Ability to interpret and work from electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable to oil and gas facilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , with several years of site-based experience in project environments.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Willingness to work in challenging on-site conditions, adhere to strict safety protocols, and support extended or rotating schedules as project needs require.
