Role: Design & Merchandising Associate (Atelier Role)
Location: Kurla, Mumbai (On-site, 6 days/week)
CTC: ₹25–30k (Fresher) | ₹40–45k (3–5 years exp)

Monk & Mei is a D2C womenswear brand with an in-house atelier in Kurla. You'll work directly with 15 sewing machines and master karigars to take designs from concept to custom orders in days, not months.
Your Core Responsibilities
Design (60%): Create commercially viable collections (ethnic + contemporary, ₹8k–12k), market research, trend analysis, mood boards
Production Coordination (30%): Liaise with floor karigars on all standard custom orders, maintain critical paths, ensure on-time delivery, fabric/trim sourcing
Social Media (10%): Assist with product photography, reels, and content for Instagram/website
Who You Are
NIFT/Pearl grad (or equivalent) with 2+ years working under a fashion designer
Basic Excel skills (data entry, simple trackers—no VLOOKUP needed)
Owns a laptop, comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to automate repetitive tasks
Keen to work on the factory floor, not in a corner office
Understands Indian vendor markets (Delhi, Surat, Jaipur, Mumbai)
