Initial Contract: 1 Year
Extension: May be extended up to 3 years based on performance and institutional requirements
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month
Salary Progression
The initial salary will be approximately ₹25,000 per month. Subject to satisfactory performance, the contract may be extended annually, with a proposed 10% annual increment, up to approximately ₹30,000 per month.
Role Overview
The IIC Associate will support the activities and initiatives of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at NIT Patna. The selected candidate will work on-site at the designated centre in Patna and will assist in coordinating innovation, entrepreneurship, startup, incubation, and related institutional activities.
The role requires a person who is comfortable working with students, faculty members, external stakeholders, and digital tools. The candidate should have a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI), innovation, entrepreneurship, digital content creation, and technology-enabled communication.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support IIC programmes, activities, and innovation-related initiatives.
Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, competitions, boot camps, awareness programmes, exhibitions, and outreach activities.
Coordinate with faculty members, students, entrepreneurs, mentors, industry representatives, and external stakeholders.
Maintain records, reports, attendance, photographs, activity documentation, and other IIC-related records.
Prepare presentations, reports, notices, promotional materials, and other official documents.
Assist in monitoring ongoing innovation and entrepreneurship projects and tracking milestones.
Collect feedback and data from students, faculty, participants, and stakeholders.
Support the implementation of institutional and government guidelines related to innovation, entrepreneurship, incubation, and startups.
Assist with digital communication and promotional activities for IIC programmes.
Prepare social-media content, short videos, YouTube Shorts/Reels, posters, and other promotional materials.
Support website content preparation and updates using AI-assisted tools.
Explore and apply emerging AI tools to improve productivity, documentation, communication, presentations, and content creation.
Perform other duties related to innovation, entrepreneurship, incubation, and IIC activities as assigned by the competent authority.
Required AI & Digital Skills
Knowledge of AI chatbots and generative AI is mandatory.

Canva and other graphic/content creation platforms

Creating AI chatbot-based solutions

Qualifications
Candidates should possess most or all of the following:
12th pass or equivalent, or any graduation degree from a recognized institution.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Management, Humanities, or a related field will be an advantage.
Strong interest in AI, innovation, startups, entrepreneurship, incubation, and emerging technologies.
Mandatory basic knowledge of AI chatbots and generative AI tools.
Ability to prepare professional presentations and documents.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate academic, extracurricular, and innovation-related programmes.
Basic project coordination and documentation skills.
Ability to maintain organized records and prepare periodic reports.
Familiarity with MS Office/Google Workspace or similar productivity tools.
Knowledge of Canva, AI-based presentation tools, website-building tools, or digital-content creation will be an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, entrepreneurs, and external stakeholders.
Willingness to work on-site and participate in events and activities as required.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, creative, proactive, and comfortable using AI tools. The person should be capable of independently creating presentations, documents, promotional content, basic websites, and short-form videos while also coordinating with students, faculty members, and external stakeholders.
Candidates who may not have extensive professional experience but demonstrate strong practical AI skills, communication ability, creativity, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Important Note
This is a contract-based position for an initial period of one year. Extension may be considered based on performance, institutional requirements, and applicable rules. A proposed annual increment of approximately 10% may be provided based on satisfactory performance, with the salary progressing from approximately ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month over the applicable contract period.
