Pre - Sales & Deployment Engineer

A fast-growing Deep Tech company is looking for highly motivated Pre-Sales and Deployment Engineers with strong hands-on expertise in networking, cloud, and security technologies. This role is ideal for technically strong professionals who enjoy customer-facing engagements, solution deployment, and collaborating closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to drive successful customer outcomes. The role involves supporting technical sales engagements, pilot deployments, implementation activities, and customer solution optimization while contributing valuable field insights back into product innovation and enhancement.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Sales and field teams to provide technical support during customer engagements, bids, proposals, and solution discussions.
Understand customer environments and recommend appropriate networking, cloud, and security architectures aligned with business requirements.
Support Proof of Concepts (POCs), pilot programs, and deployment initiatives for enterprise and strategic customers.
Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to share customer feedback, deployment insights, feature recommendations, and implementation learnings.
Participate in solution demonstrations, technical workshops, architecture discussions, and deployment planning sessions.
Assist customers with deployment, integration, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities.
Create and maintain customer-centric technical documentation, including deployment guides, architecture documents, implementation manuals, and best practices.
Support interoperability validation across enterprise infrastructure environments and security platforms.
Work with cross-functional teams to improve product usability, deployment efficiency, and customer experience.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and evolving trends in cybersecurity, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with networking, cloud, and security technologies in enterprise environments.
Good understanding of technologies such as routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, cloud platforms, virtualization, Linux systems, Kubernetes, or enterprise security frameworks.
Experience in pre-sales engineering, deployment engineering, technical consulting, or customer implementation roles preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in dynamic customer environments.
Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
Comfortable working with customers, field teams, and cross-functional engineering groups.
Experience with OEMs, cybersecurity vendors, cloud providers, SIs, or deep tech organizations preferred.
Engineering or technical degree preferred.
