Game Animator

We are looking for a highly creative and technically strong Game Animator to join our game production team. The primary responsibility of this role is creating high-quality animations for slot and casual mobile games. This role goes beyond animation execution; the ideal candidate should be capable of handling optimization, maintaining production-ready assets, and contributing to the overall visual quality and player experience. The role involves close collaboration with artists, developers, and game designers to create visually engaging, responsive, and performance-optimized animations that match global industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Create high-quality 2D animations for slot/casino/mobile games, including: Reels, Symbols, UI animations, VFX, Win celebrations.
Transitions and interactive gameplay elements.
Apply strong animation principles such as timing, spacing, easing, anticipation, squash and stretch, and secondary motion.
Ensure animations are visually appealing, readable, responsive, and optimized for mobile devices.
Collaborate closely with art, design, and development teams to implement polished gameplay experiences.
Optimize animation assets for performance, memory usage, and smooth gameplay across devices.
Handle production-ready exports and asset packaging, including PNG sequences, Texture atlases, Spine exports, and Animation file structures and formats.
Maintain consistency in animation style, quality, and visual storytelling across projects.
Make minor art adjustments and touch-ups to symbols, icons, and assets when required.
Understand game logic and create animations that support gameplay clarity and player engagement.
Participate in creative discussions and contribute ideas on animation direction, visual impact, and user experience.
Follow feedback effectively and deliver within production timelines.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of 2D animation fundamentals.
Proficiency in Spine, Adobe After Effects, or similar animation software.
Experience creating animations for mobile, casual, or slot games.
Good understanding of reel mechanics, symbol animations, UI motion, and reward/win presentation flows.
Knowledge of animation optimization techniques for mobile platforms.
Understanding of asset pipelines, atlases, export settings, and production workflows.
Ability to balance animation quality with technical performance constraints.
Strong eye for motion, polish, and visual clarity.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of animation quality.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in slot/casino game production is highly preferred.
Basic knowledge of Unity integration workflows is a plus.
Understanding of VFX, motion graphics, and interactive animation systems.
Experience working in fast-paced game production environments.
