Senior Integration Consultant

Aquera is hiring a Senior Integration Consultant to join our Bangalore team and lead the technical delivery of customer implementation projects for our U. S. customer base. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role centred on building, configuring, and troubleshooting real system-to-system integrations. It is not an identity governance (IAM/IGA) policy or access-certification role; we're looking for someone who enjoys building connectors and making data flow correctly between systems, not someone whose background is in access governance, role mining, or SoD policy design.
You'll work directly with customers' HR, ITSM, and directory systems as integration endpoints, translating business requirements into working data flows and troubleshooting issues when they come up in production.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end technical implementation of customer integration projects from discovery and design through configuration, testing, go-live, and hypercare.
Design, build, and configure integrations with HR/HCM systems (e. g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, BambooHR, UKG), ITSM platforms (e. g., ServiceNow, Freshservice, Jira Service Management), and directory/identity systems (e. g., Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP) as data sources and targets, not as an IAM/IGA architect.
Map, transform, and validate data flows between source and target systems using REST/SOAP APIs, SCIM, webhooks, and file/batch-based interfaces.
Write and maintain integration scripts and connector configurations (JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or the platform's native scripting layer).
Troubleshoot integration failures across production and staging environments, reading logs, tracing API calls, and isolating root cause independently.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers during implementation, running working sessions and translating technical detail for non-technical stakeholders.
Document integration designs, configurations, and runbooks for clean handoff to Support and Customer Success.
Partner with Sales Engineering, Product, and Support to flag recurring integration gaps and feed them into the roadmap.
Overlap with U. S. business hours as needed (typically evening IST) to support live customer implementation calls.
Requirements:
5-12 years of hands-on experience implementing system-to-system integrations for enterprise customers consulting, professional services, or customer implementation/solutions engineering background.
Practical, hands-on experience integrating with at least two of: HR/HCM systems, ITSM platforms, or directory/identity systems as a builder of connectors and data flows, not as an IAM/IGA governance consultant.
Strong working knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, SCIM, JSON/XML data mapping, webhook-based integration patterns, and API authentication (OAuth2 API keys, basic auth).
Scripting or programming ability in at least one of: JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or a comparable language.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; this role runs customer-facing working sessions with U. S. stakeholders and requires explaining technical concepts clearly and confidently.
Strong, independent troubleshooting instincts; comfortable in logs, API traces, and system configuration without heavy hand-holding.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent customer projects against competing deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have:
Experience with iPaaS or integration middleware (e. g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Tray.io ).
Familiarity with provisioning/connector frameworks, including SCIM-based provisioning or custom connector SDKs.
Prior experience as a customer-facing implementation consultant, solutions engineer, or professional services role at a SaaS company.
Experience working closely with a distributed, U. S. -based product and engineering team.
