Lead Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer to take ownership of core backend systems that power our next-generation trading platform. In this role, you'll lead the design and development of high-performance, scalable, and secure services, working closely with cross-functional teams to shape our product roadmap and technical direction. Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and optimization of robust backend services and APIs that drive our trading and analytics platforms.
Collaborate closely with product, frontend, AI, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, high-impact features.
Define and own the architecture of backend components, ensuring modularity, performance, and scalability.
Oversee and implement integration with third-party systems, trading platforms, and internal tools.
Drive initiatives around system reliability, observability, and fault tolerance.
Lead best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and security.
Play a key role in our CI/CD and infrastructure pipelinesupporting automated deployment and monitoring.
Mentor and guide junior engineers; contribute to building a high-performing engineering culture.
Requirements:
6-8 years of hands-on backend development experience, with a track record of leading complex backend projects.
Strong expertise in Node.js, / Java, or both.
Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (e. g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
Hands-on experience with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
Proficient in deploying and managing services on AWS (EC2 Lambda, S3 etc. ).
Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and monitoring/logging tools (e. g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Strong coding, debugging, and architectural skills; ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Passionate about building secure, high-performance, and resilient systems.
