Head of Data & Analytics

A seed-stage wealthtech company is hiring a Head of Data and Analytics to build and scale its analytics and data platform capability. This role requires a hybrid leader who can drive business analytics, build the right data foundations, and partner closely with founders and business stakeholders to enable faster decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Build and scale the company's analytics function across business, product, and leadership reporting.
Design and manage data architecture, including data warehouses, data marts, pipelines, and reporting layers.
Partner with founders and cross-functional leaders to define KPIs, reporting frameworks, and decision-making dashboards.
Translate business problems into data solutions that improve growth, efficiency, and visibility.
Lead a small team of analysts and data engineers while also being hands-on where required.
Drive data quality, metric governance, automation, and scalable reporting practices.
Build a roadmap for the next stage of data maturity in a fast-growing startup environment.
Requirements:
8 to 10+ years of experience in analytics, BI, data engineering, or hybrid data and analytics leadership roles.
Strong experience in analytics ownership, dashboarding, KPI design, and business decision support.
Experience building or managing data warehouses, data marts, ETL or ELT pipelines, and modern BI environments.
Strong SQL and working knowledge of Python or similar tools used in analytics engineering and automation.
Exposure to platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, BigQuery, Redshift, or equivalent modern data stacks.
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working with CXOs, founders, or business heads.
Prior team management experience across analysts, BI engineers, or data engineers.
Ability to operate in ambiguity and build from scratch in a seed-stage or high-growth environment.
