Responsibilities:
Own day-to-day accounting and Accounts Payable (AP) activities and ensure accurate and timely books of accounts.
Prepare and manage monthly/quarterly MIS, management reports, and financial dashboards.
Handle financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Coordinate and manage statutory, internal, and financial audits.
Ensure compliance with applicable India and US accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Support finance operations and reporting for US entities/markets and provide cross-border financial coordination.
Manage and review vendor payments, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and expense accounting.
Lead/support financial and tax due diligence for fundraising, investments, business transactions, and other strategic initiatives.
Prepare financial data, reports, and documentation required by investors, auditors, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
Work closely with founders, CXOs, and leadership on financial planning, reporting, and business decisions.
Establish and strengthen financial controls, processes, and SOPs as the company scales.
Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and control gaps and drive corrective actions.
Support fundraising-related activities, investor reporting, and Series A/B-level financial requirements.
Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, tax advisors, and other finance partners.
Provide financial insights and analysis to support business and strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6.5-8 years of relevant experience.
Strong hands-on experience in accounting, AP, MIS, financial reporting, audit, and compliance.
Experience working with India and US markets is mandatory.
Exposure to Singapore finance operations/compliance is an added advantage.
Prior experience in a startup, SaaS, technology, or product-based company preferred.
Experience working directly with founders / CXOs / senior leadership.
Exposure to Series A / Series B funded companies, fundraising, or investor due diligence is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-driven environment and independently owning finance activities.
