The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
Logistics Operations Management:
Manage end-to-end international logistics operations, including shipping, warehousing, and customs clearance.
Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods globally via sea, air, and land freight.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipping and export documentation (e. g., B/L, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
Vendor and Partner Management:
Negotiate rates and contracts with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics service providers.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong working relationships with global logistics partners.
Monitor carrier KPIs (on-time delivery, cost, service quality, etc. ).
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with international trade laws, export controls, and customs regulations (e. g., INCOTERMS, ITAR, EAR).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import/export documentation, tariffs, and trade compliance requirements.
Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions or geopolitical risks.
Cost Control and Optimization:
Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.
Implement best practices for inventory management, consolidation, and routing optimization.
Develop and monitor logistics budgets and performance metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement, production, sales, and finance teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Support new product launches and international expansions with logistics planning and coordination.
Provide timely updates on shipment status and resolve delivery or customs issues.
Systems and Reporting:
Use ERP, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and analytics tools to manage shipments and track performance.
Prepare periodic logistics reports and dashboards for management review.
Drive digital transformation initiatives in logistics processes.
Requirements:
8 years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or global supply chain management.
Experience managing multi-country logistics operations (import/export, customs, etc. ).
