Senior Business Analyst

Delta Air Lines is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Business Analyst to join their SVOE - HR Innovation and Employee Experience (Single View of Employee) team. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of data modeling best practices, strong technical skills, and business acumen, as well as the ability to learn complex data models and apply that knowledge to solve real-world business challenges. You will contribute to the work and support the development of data models to integrate, aggregate, and harmonize HR data from various sources. Gain a deep understanding of end-to-end HR processes and data domains (e. g., workforce, talent, performance, and learning) to translate business needs into clear analytical and technical requirements. You will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, effectively bridging functional requirements with technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
Engage with the end-users to gather business requirements.
Create FRDs with business flow diagrams, data dictionaries, metrics definitions, and end-user expectations.
Engage with the technical team to create test cases.
Engage with the technical team to convey the business requirements and help in converting the requirements to technical requirements.
Engage with the end-users to help in UAT testing.
End-user communication and management.
Requirements:
At least 5+ years of experience in business analysis and stakeholder management.
Ability to write SQL (basic) (Must Have).
Experience in building FRDs (Functional requirement documentation).
Ability to document business rules, metrics, KPIs, and data definitions clearly and consistently.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum Methodology - Must Have.
Collaborate with teams in EST time zone for one or two weeks each month, ensuring smooth coordination and support across geographies.
Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to clarify data transformations, metrics logic, and reporting behavior.
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements, use cases, and data definitions to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics initiatives.
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), validation of data outputs, and post-implementation support to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
Well versed in client communication and delivery management.
