The Hangar Demand Planning (HDP) team is seeking a highly motivated Demand Airframe Planner to support the build and execution of maintenance packages for hangar visits ranging from Special Visit to Heavy Maintenance Visits. The Demand Planner will work cross-departmentally to support initiatives set by the Hangar Demand Planning leadership team to ensure alignment for a successful maintenance visit. The Demand Planner also works closely with Line Planners, Fleet Projects, Tooling, Materials, Engineering, Aircraft Routing, Airframe Supplier Ops, and Base Maintenance.

Plans all hangar maintenance events for their assigned fleets to ensure the aircraft are safe, compliant, and up to customer standards.
The Planner manages time controls, log/ERA/MEL, and maintenance program tasks to prevent overruns and drives execution to plan.
The Planner will proactively adjust the hangar work packages to meet changing conditions, reduce deferrals, and late additions to the package.
The Planner will work closely with the Hangar Demand Planning Project Management team to ensure AA projects are scheduled to hangar work packages.
Partners with Line Demand Planning counterparts on tasks to prevent potential unscheduled out-of-service time.
This role will also be responsible for proactively identifying, preventing, and solving any risks associated with the forecasted plan in relation to the relevant work package.
Performs thorough review of materials, engineering documents, tooling, log pages, and other constraints to ensure visit readiness for incoming maintenance visit.
Position may require working second shift, rotating days off, and/or weekends.
Must be able to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment.
Work in collaboration with Senior engineers within the team in meeting business objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering Degree (aerospace or mechanical preferred) or comparable experience in an engineering related field.
5-8 years of experience working for Airlines supporting the Hangar Demand Planning Domain.
Self-starter that can successfully work independently or with a team.
Effective organisational and communication skills with business, technical management, staff, and other partners.
Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Work successfully across business units at all levels (front line to executive) and have effective presentation skills, be a successful mediator and problem solver, build and maintain effective working relationships.
Embrace diverse people, thinking, and style.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Delta systems - SCEPTRE, TRAX, IFS - Maintainix, Hangar Work Bench, AMES, Empower, Tableau.
Consistently makes safety and security of self and others the priority.
Engineering Documents, Logs.
Maintenance Engineering, Maintenance Planning/Engineering Planning, Material Planning, Engine Planning or Aircraft Planning experience.
Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to handle several projects simultaneously with minimum supervision, be well organised and able to prioritise work to meet established deadlines.
Strong teamwork and cross-team collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Must have a strong sense of customer service.
Good to Have:
Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
PMP Certificate or other professional certifications relative to the job description.
Knowledge of Delta Tech Ops policy and procedures, Delta aircraft types, and OEM PMD requirements.
