We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager with strong expertise in Java backend engineering to lead high-scale product and platform teams for a fast-growing consumer technology environment. We're looking for passionate technology leaders from diverse backgrounds who have experience building scalable distributed systems and leading high-performing engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor multiple backend engineering teams.
Drive architecture and design for scalable Java-based systems.
Build high-performance, reliable, and secure backend platforms.
Partner closely with Product, Data, Mobile, and DevOps teams.
Own engineering delivery, hiring, execution, and technical roadmap.
Improve engineering excellence, system reliability, and development practices.
Requirements:
12+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
Experience building large-scale distributed systems.
Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Strong exposure to databases, caching, and messaging systems.
Proven people management and stakeholder management experience.
Prior experience in B2C/D2C or consumer-facing product companies preferred.
Good to Have:
Exposure to AI-driven platforms or modern engineering ecosystems.
Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
Strong engineering culture and agile execution mindset.
