We are seeking a highly experienced Principal iOS Developer to lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-performance iOS applications. The ideal candidate will drive mobile engineering excellence, define technical strategy, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams to deliver world-class mobile experiences.
Responsibilities:
Define and drive the overall iOS architecture, technical vision, and roadmap.
Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance native iOS applications.
Lead complex technical initiatives and provide architectural guidance across multiple mobile products.
Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes.
Drive adoption of modern iOS development frameworks and design patterns.
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
Mentor senior and junior engineers, fostering technical growth and innovation.
Optimise application performance, stability, security, and scalability.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the mobile technology stack.
Requirements:
Expert-level proficiency in Swift and a strong understanding of Objective-C.
Deep expertise in UIKit, SwiftUI, and iOS SDK.
Strong understanding of architectural patterns such as MVVM, VIPER, MVC, Clean Architecture, and Modular Architecture.
Experience with Combine, Async/Await, and Concurrency programming.
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and network optimisation.
Experience with local storage technologies such as Core Data, SQLite, Realm, and Keychain.
Expertise in performance optimisation, memory management, and debugging tools.
Experience implementing automated testing using XCTest, XCUITest, and unit testing frameworks.
Strong understanding of mobile security, encryption, authentication, and secure coding practices.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or Fastlane.
Experience with analytics, crash monitoring, and observability tools.
