Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end RDK-B architecture for broadband gateway and CPE programs.
Define system design, layering, upgrade strategy, and platform extension mechanisms.
Lead integration with SoC/vendor SDKs, Broadcom, Airoha/MediaTek, Qualcomm.
Drive key networking features: Routing, Bridging, NAT/Firewall, DNS/DHCP.
Manage Wi-Fi features, optimisation, and management at the platform level.
Ensure alignment with operator ecosystems, TR-069 WebPA, and USP provisioning frameworks.
Define and manage Yocto-based build systems, meta layers, and release pipelines.
Optimise system performance, memory, boot time, and stability.
Drive platform security, secure boot, and firmware upgrade strategy.
Support certification, field debugging, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with product, QA, and vendors for successful delivery.
Represent the organisation in RDK community engagements where applicable.
Requirements:
15+ years of experience in embedded and broadband ecosystems.
Strong expertise in C/C++ and Embedded Linux.
Hands-on experience with the RDK-B platform.
Experience with Yocto / embedded build systems.
Strong networking fundamentals, IPv4/IPv6 routing, switching, and protocols.
Proven experience with broadband CPE platforms, DSL / Fibre / Cable / Fixed Wireless gateways.
Experience working with Broadcom, Airoha/MediaTek, or Qualcomm chipsets.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting logs, packet capture, and system-level analysis.
Good to Have:
Experience with PON (GPON/XGS-PON), DOCSIS, LTE/5G WAN.
Wi-Fi mesh/controller ecosystems: Airties, Plume, CTS.
Knowledge of multicast, QoS, and traffic management.
Exposure to large-scale operator deployments.
Familiarity with AI-driven network optimisation or ML-based diagnostics.
