SSE - Backend

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Backend with strong hands-on experience in Java and Golang to build scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices. This role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing distributed systems that support large-scale digital products, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, clean architecture, and engineering excellence. You will work closely with product, QA, platform, and DevOps teams to deliver robust backend services that are secure, resilient, and production-ready.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Golang.
Develop scalable, high-performance, and secure APIs/services for customer-facing and internal platforms.
Participate in system design, architecture discussions, HLD/LLD, and backend design decisions.
Build clean, reusable, testable, and well-documented code.
Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, availability, and resilience.
Work with distributed systems, event-driven components, and service integrations.
Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams for end-to-end delivery.
Troubleshoot production issues, debug performance bottlenecks, and improve system stability.
Contribute to code reviews, engineering best practices, and technical standards across the team.
Support deployment, observability, and operational excellence for services in production.
Requirements:
5+ years of backend engineering experience in product / platform engineering environments.
Strong hands-on coding experience in Java and Golang.
Solid experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
Strong working knowledge of Golang for backend/service development.
Experience with High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD).
Good understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Experience building scalable distributed systems and high-throughput backend services.
Strong understanding of API design, service communication, and backend integration patterns.
Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with caching, asynchronous processing, concurrency, and performance tuning.
Experience with CI/CD, version control, and production deployment workflows.
Good problem-solving ability and strong ownership mindset.
Strong backend fundamentals with the ability to work across Java and Golang ecosystems.
Engineers who can independently own modules/services from design to deployment.

Preferred / Good to Have:
Experience with gRPC, Gin, or backend frameworks in Golang.
Exposure to Kafka / messaging systems / event-driven architecture.
Experience working with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, observability, and backend performance metrics.
Experience in internet-scale / consumer-tech / telecom-tech / digital product environments.
Understanding of security, reliability, and enterprise-grade software engineering practices.
