About the role

We are hiring a Head of Engineering for a leading product-based company. The ideal candidate should have a strong backend engineering background in Java or Python and hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic AI, RAG, and AI/ML. We are specifically looking for someone who is currently working as an Individual Contributor (IC) while driving technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead engineering strategy, architecture, and product delivery.
Build scalable AI-powered platforms and backend systems.
Drive GenAI, Agentic AI, and RAG-based initiatives.
Stay hands-on with system design, architecture, and code reviews.
Mentor engineering teams and promote engineering best practices.
Collaborate closely with product, data, and business stakeholders.
Requirements:
13-16 years in a product-based company.
Strong expertise in Java or Python.
Hands-on experience with GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, AI/ML, and LLMs.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms.
Excellent system design and leadership skills.
Must currently be working as an Individual Contributor (IC).
