We are looking for a Director - Data Engineering to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Data Platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Python, Spark, ETL, and GCP, with proven experience in building and scaling an end-to-end data platform from scratch.
Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture, development, and evolution of large-scale data platforms on GCP.
Build and optimise scalable ETL pipelines using Python and Spark.
Define the data platform strategy, architecture, and engineering best practices.
Drive cloud-native data solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Lead and mentor high-performing data engineering teams.
Collaborate with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
Requirements:
15-18 years of experience in data engineering and platform development.
Strong expertise in Python, Spark, ETL, and GCP (Mandatory).
Proven experience in building an enterprise data platform on GCP from the ground up.
Deep understanding of distributed data processing, cloud architecture, and modern data platforms.
Experience leading large engineering teams in a product-based environment.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and architectural decision-making skills.
