Software Engineer - Java + AI

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong Java development skills and exposure to AI-powered applications. You will be responsible for building scalable backend services while contributing to the development and integration of AI-driven features into enterprise products. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy backend development and are eager to work with modern AI technologies in real-world applications.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AI-enabled product features.
Integrate LLMs, AI APIs, or ML services into enterprise applications.
Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and production support.
Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and software engineering best practices.
Requirements:
1.5-3 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.
Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Basic understanding or hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts, generative AI, LLMs, or AI APIs.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong foundation in backend engineering.
Curiosity and willingness to learn AI technologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ownership mindset with attention to code quality and performance.
Good to Have:
Experience with vector databases or RAG-based applications.
Exposure to prompt engineering or AI orchestration frameworks.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
