SSE - DevOps

Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines across the software delivery lifecycle.
Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure primarily on GCP, with exposure to hybrid/multi-cloud setups.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Build and manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
Drive observability practices, logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalents.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams across geographies, including stakeholders based in Germany.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis for infrastructure and deployment failures.
Implement security best practices across the DevOps pipeline (DevSecOps).
Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools/practices to improve deployment velocity and system reliability.
Document processes and mentor junior engineers on DevOps best practices.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on DevOps/cloud engineering experience.
Mandatory hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, VPC, etc.
Strong experience with CI/CD tools Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Proficiency with Terraform and/or Ansible for IaC.
Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell.
Experience with monitoring/observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; this role involves direct collaboration with Germany-based stakeholders.
Currently working at a product-based company (not a pure IT services/staffing firm).
Good to Have:
Exposure to AWS or Azure in addition to GCP.
Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
Familiarity with service mesh (Istio) and API gateways.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools (SonarQube, Snyk, etc. ).
Prior experience working with distributed/international teams.
