Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in API Automation Testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-grade backend applications and microservices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing scalable automation frameworks, API validation, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust API automation test frameworks.
Create and execute automated test cases for REST APIs and Microservices.
Validate API functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end API testing.
Identify, debug, and track defects through to resolution.
Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in code reviews and continuously improve test automation practices.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on API Automation.
Hands-on experience with API automation tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar frameworks.
Strong programming skills in Java.
Experience testing REST APIs and Microservices.
Good understanding of API authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth).
Experience with SQL databases and API validation.
Hands-on experience with Git and version control.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have:
Experience with Selenium or UI Automation frameworks.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerised environments.
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
