Role Description The Occupational Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurgaon, working directly with children with varied developmental and learning needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing children’s functional and sensory needs, developing individualized therapy plans, and conducting one-on-one and small-group therapy sessions. The role involves collaborating with special educators and other team members, guiding parents on home-based activities, and regularly tracking and documenting progress. The Occupational Therapist will also participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contribute to program development, and help maintain a safe, encouraging environment that supports each child’s independence and participation in daily activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with experience in designing and implementing individualized intervention plans.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and Pediatrics to understand developmental milestones, diagnoses, and child health considerations.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with children, families, and colleagues, and to clearly explain therapy goals and strategies.
Candidates should possess the ability to work with children with diverse needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and child-centered practice.
Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution; professional registration or licensure as required by local regulations.
Experience in pediatric or school-based settings is highly beneficial, along with familiarity with sensory integration and developmental disorders.
Strong documentation, observation, and planning skills, with the ability to maintain accurate case records and adapt interventions over time.
Commitment to ongoing learning, teamwork, and participation in training or workshops related to child development and inclusive education.
