Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and client accounts. The role includes preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and supporting statutory filings in coordination with the Company Secretaries. The Accountant will also help with budgeting support, basic financial analysis, and maintaining organized documentation for audits and compliance reviews. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Egmore, requiring close coordination with the firm’s professional team and adherence to established processes and timelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in bookkeeping, general ledger management, and bank reconciliation.
Candidates should possess skills in preparation of financial statements, basic financial analysis, and support for audits.
Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally or similar), MS Excel, and other standard office applications.
Candidates should possess knowledge of fundamental taxation and statutory compliance related to accounting (e.g., GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations).
Candidates should possess excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and maintain financial records.
Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a professional services team.
Relevant academic qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are an added advantage.
Prior experience in an accounting role, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment, is beneficial.
