Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role is based at Shree Balaji Nursing Home in Bhawanipatna. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and supporting daily activities. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate nursing documentation, coordinating with physicians on care plans, and educating patients and families about treatment and discharge instructions. The role also involves adhering to infection control protocols, participating in emergency response when required, and contributing to a safe, clean, and respectful care environment. The nurse will collaborate with the broader care team, support quality initiatives, and assist in training or guiding junior staff when needed.
Qualifications
Current nursing registration/license as a Registered Nurse, with completion of an accredited nursing program (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent).
Demonstrated clinical skills in bedside care, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and basic nursing procedures.
Knowledge of infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and standard nursing documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work in rotating shifts, manage multiple patients, and respond calmly to emergencies.
Commitment to ethical, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory care for diverse patient populations.
Prior experience in a hospital or nursing home setting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
Basic computer skills for electronic records and reporting, and familiarity with local languages used in Bhawanipatna is an advantage.
