Role Description The Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day civil works on project sites in Chennai, ensuring that construction activities follow approved designs, specifications, and safety standards. This full-time, on-site role includes supervising contractors, coordinating with project managers and design teams, monitoring work progress, and resolving technical issues that arise during execution. The Site Civil Engineer will review drawings, support planning and scheduling of site activities, and assist in managing resources and materials to meet project timelines. Additional responsibilities include conducting site inspections, preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain quality and efficiency throughout the project.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering, with the ability to interpret and apply technical drawings and specifications.
Candidates should possess skills relevant to Civil Engineers, including site supervision, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and problem-solving in field conditions.
Candidates should possess Planning skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking for civil works.
Candidates should possess Stormwater Management knowledge, including drainage design, runoff control, and compliance with local environmental standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience working on infrastructure, residential, commercial, or industrial civil projects is preferred.
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and local regulations in India.
Proficiency in common engineering and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, basic structural and hydraulic analysis software) is an advantage.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site in Chennai.
